Elegant website design without pretension!

Our law office had a hopelessly outdated web presence. Sara LeHoullier at Busybee Consulting came highly recommended as someone who could usher our business into the 21st Century.  From the get-go, Sara was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and full of ideas. She arranged for a design overhaul, a new logo and suggestions for copywriting.  She even thought of social media integration and mobile responsiveness, which had not been on our radar before.  Her design aesthetic was appropriate for our business and has been very patient, responsive and understanding with our suggestions.  Her price was very reasonable for the services she provided.  I would recommend her again in a heartbeat.

There are a few things that I believe are essential for making a great website. Here they are (in no particular order):

Your brand is tied to your online personality, and it's more than just colors and fonts.  I mean the whole shebang. I'm not a graphic designer, and even though I can create a simple logo and workable color palette, it would really be best for you to call in the professionals. If you're serious about thoughtfully building the complete package, you're going to need to jump in with both feet and work with a designer to get your visual ducks in a row. If you work with one of my preferred partners, we will work in parallel and collaborate throughout the process.

Excellent, high-resolution, professional photos. If you have these already in your possession - amazing. If you don't, you'll want to consider checking out Unsplash or Pexels for fantastic free stock photos, purchase of stock photos, or hiring a photographer to take personalized 'unstock' photos for you. For example, if you're a massage therapist, you'll probably need images of hands on bodies, and it would be nice if those hands were yours! Seriously, the photos can make or break a site.

In yourself, in your gut, in your abilities. Whether you're starting a new business or rebranding yourself, you're taking a big and necessary risk. I'd also like you to trust in me, a person who cares deeply about both your success and happiness with the final product.

Compelling, realistic, authentic. I'm not saying you need to have all of your content mapped out and written, but at the very least, your vision, your mission, and your purpose/passion statements should be pretty solid. Words that describe who you are and what you do - and words that do NOT describe those things.

*Payment and Refund Policy

I accept credit cards and PayPal, and I require a 50% deposit upon acceptance of proposal. As a rule, I don't refund fees for work done, but if at any point during our time together either of us wishes to end the contract, we can come to an agreement that works for both of us. Additional fees apply for web hosting with Squarespace and any 3rd party additional services you choose.
